Great Product/Great Service
Using bone conduction technology, these headphones have made a world of difference for me. I suffer from a hearing loss (profound in the left ear and severe in the right) which makes regular headphones difficult to use unless they are on full volume, and even then I can only hear in the left ear. These headsets have a built in microphone which means I can use them with my cell phone and am now able to listen to calls and music on normal volume and hear in both the left and right ear (again, thanks to the bone conduction technology which is an effective hearing aid for otosclerosis). Further, clients and family can hear me very well on the microphone. For music, the headphones are great, letting me listen to music without an ear bud stuffed in my ear. I show these off all of the time and several of my friends have now ordered a pair after trying them.

The only gripe is after a few months the left speaker stopped working. However, I simply notified aftershokz of the issue, and they immediately issued me an RMA for a return. I was just notified my new headset is on the way. Excellent service. I would (and have) recommend these to anyone, especially anyone with a hearing deficiency or anyone who does not want to suffer hearing loss from long term headset use or otherwise does not like earbuds. I have been extremely impressed with this product and the compnay.

Ecstatic!
My father is 90 years old and his hearing has greatly deteriorated. Even with traditional hearing aids, he cannot hear with much improvement. Phone conversations are very difficult and even in-person conversations can be a challenge. He was at the point, when turning on the television, he would mute sound because he says everything sounded too garbled. He would just watch the images and look for scores or other info highlighted on-screen. He likes golf and football, so he could watch game without hearing commentary. He also likes news-talk programs, but that was pretty much out of the question.

In attempting to help my dad, I have purchased auxiliary amps to isolate voice frequency, sound-balancing head phones, etc. Nothing worked.

Finally, I saw the AfterShokz product. I considered the idea that if the sound from this product was bypassing the ears themselves and conducting sound from bone at temples, it might be worth an effort to try out. After all, if it did not work, I would just return for refund like I've had to do with all the other failed attempts...it was always sad to see dad hoping my previous tries would work, but did not. He even told me not to bother anymore because he knew nothing was going to work.

When I came to visit my dad, I plugged in the Aftershokz to my dad's television after buying an extension adapter. The first thing we did was tune in to CNN or Fox or whatever news channel it was. I was sitting there watching my dad with suspense and hope. I Was trying not to be too hopeful because was getting used to nothing ever working out. I could not tell by my dad's face what was happening, he looked totally neutral. Then, after about a minute had passed, he looked at me and said, "I heard every word he said". That was an awesome moment! I almost cried with relief that something finally worked so well, but I am a 53 y.o. man and didn't want to look like some oversentimental dude in front of my dad, haha. Still, we were both so pleased that Aftershokz was the solution.

Now that we know these headphones work for watching television, my next project is to work on connecting them to his phone and that should be easy.

Okay, don't want anyone getting into trouble. AfterShokz description did not in any way represent that it could be helpful to hearing impaired people. That was totally an experiment that I thought could work, and it did. Perhaps sometime in the future, this product could be researched more and the market for people like my dad could be developed, but I just wanted to make little disclaimer so people know that there was no mention about the product being sold as a "hearing aid" or anything. You know there are always some morons in government or some low-life attorney that would jump at any opportunity sue somebody that made someone else happy.

I am grateful that a product like Aftershokz is available. Product attractively designed, nice features, appears to be built with durability in mind. Price is a terrific value also!

More awesome than I can describe.
The reason these are so awesome for me is that I lost my hearing many years ago in my left ear. If I put a phone to my 'bad' ear I hear some noise, but cannot make out any words. Because of this loss, I also have no stereo sound and cannot tell where noise is even coming from. Well, I tried out these that a friend had one day and it brought tears to my eyes!! I could hear the music in my bad ear too! I could finally listen to music again in stereo! I got on line right away and ordered myself a pair. I let others try them out and they are amazed at how great they sound for not being inside the ear. I have never like headphones inside my ears anyway, but with my hearing loss I only used the right side. I like the fact that when I am out riding my bile I can still here traffic (if I am not jamming too loud that is!). They have fantastic sound quality and are really very comfortable. The only thing I have had to get used to is turning them on - I never owned headphones that didn't just work by plugging them into the source....My husband laughs at me and said he has never seen me listen to music so much. I told him it is because it finally sounds good again! I wish they made hearing aids that worked the same way! Now that would be a hot seller for people with the hearing loss that I have!

Bone Conduction Headphones
Great. Now I can hear the TV.
I have hearing loss in low frequencies.
With these Bone Conduction Headphones I can now turn the volume down and still hear people talking.
Great product. Fully bone conduction headphones.
I found these very comfortable to wear. Nothing in the ear.
Now those sudden high volume sounds [?Ads?] don't disturb me.
My ears are free to hear normal sound + I can hear a movie and all the various sounds.
I highly recommend these earphones.
Hugh.

Great headphones
I bought these because I do a lot of walking and they fit just in front of the ear. This allows you to hear your music and also be aware of trafic around you. Don't expect to be able to blast your music but when I use them I get good volume. Also when I use the cell phone feature, callers say that they can hear me just fine.

Great for running
I bought these so I could stay alert when I run. My other buds totally knock out hearing so I figured I'd try these. They're great but you have to get used to them. When you first put them on and try them it's REALLY WEIRD. However you get used to them.

Note, these are basically like listening to speakers that are closeby. If they're loud enough, you still won't hear anything around you. This makes it hard to hear music sometimes when running, but it's better than being hit by a car.

It's also nice to relax with these sometimes despite the inferior audio quality, simply because they don't hurt in your ears after a while.

Also, they're LOUD for people around you. So keep that in mind if you're planning on wearing these on a plane... DON'T, for the love of love don't.

That is all. Recommend, +1.

Works Great
Works great but is especially useful when doing things such as walking where you still need to hear what is going on around you.

Safe and Good Sound
These headphones let me listen to my own podcasts while keeping a good ear on the kids. I can easily hear all the sounds and traffic around me. I have used these to listen to audible books and music while working and walking.

Unique, good sound.
Works well. Mya need to adjust the volume settings on your MP3 player to get the right sound, and it does take some getting used to, but overall the item works well and my teen daughter liked it.

These are great!
These work very well, as advertised. Comfortable and clear sound. Other people can hear your music. Perfect for outdoor or indoor.

Description

Product Description

AfterShokz Sportz M2 open ear headphones sit comfortably in front of the ear, utilizing patent pending bone conduction technology to deliver stereophonic sound through the listener's cheekbones to the inner ear, enabling anyone participating in an activity - jogging, biking, skateboarding, hiking, skiing - to make/take phone calls and stay connected to both what they are listening to and the outside world. If a call comes in while listening to music, AfterShokz technology automatically interrupts and activates the in-line mic, making active mobile communications easier, safer, and more comfortable than ever. Built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery is included.
