Fantastic and Priced Right
I bought the Thule Sportsrack for my garage, and after loving how that worked I quickly went to pick up a second one when I noticed the Sportrack - which is EXACTLY the same rack as the Thule but for half the price. The only different is the branded sticker on the top. If you are considering the Thule - get this one, its the same.
THIS THING IS A TANK! I've got 3 bikes on it!
AWESOME!! I needed a way to keep my bikes off the carpet in my apartment and out of the way so my girlfriend didn't bug me to get rid of one. This has been the perfect solution.
Setup: A little frustrating... I had to remove parts a few times and reassemble correctly because it wasn't perfectly clear. The instructions are so-so in my opinion and the threading of the hardware really sucks. Once it's together and everything tightened down it's great. I never got one of the feet to screw in all the way, but I'm on carpet so no balance issues for me.
Use: THIS THING IS A TANK! I've got 3 bikes, a u-lock and a backpack full of gear hanging from this thing and it doesn't budge. I bet you could do pull-ups on this thing. I've got my 30+ lbs mountain bike on the bottom, cannondale road bike on top and old peugeot on top. I wish I could buy another set of those pacman holders though. While the second road bike was up there with no issues, I opted to make a few pacman pieces out of swimming pool foam noodles for peace of mind.
Buying: As other reviewers of the Thule version have mentioned, this is the same thing with a lower price tag and no Thule sticker. Thule apparently obtained this company.
great gift for bikers
Bought this for my son; works perfect - free standing unit; good quality part, can be used anywhere - recommended buy
It is very versatile.
I thought there were parts missing, but the company replaced the whole thing, very fast and prompt. Amazing customer service. Great value! All kids if bikes for in it. Very adaptable.
Fits the bill
Stand does everything I wanted -- free-standing -- no need to attach to a wall. Put both bikes on it and it's very stable. Since the floor of my garage is NOT level, the stand has adjustable feet to make it level. It is very secure and I'm confident that it stows my road bike safely. And it was at a great price. Very satisfied.
Stand is very stable; it holds a heavy mountain bike on the bottom and road bike on the top very easily. I have bumped it quite a few times, and it barely even shakes it is so sturdy. The arms are adjustable which is nice because my mountain bike does not have a stem that is straight across. I would recommend it.
Just as advertised
This product is just as advertised. We were looking for a way to make the most of our apartment space and decided to purchase this for our mountain bikes. After taking some time to set it up, we got it in place and the bikes have been "hanging" out for some time with no problem. Would definitely recommend this product to those looking for a cheap way to make some space.
Sportrack Bike Stand
Just what we were looking for to store the bikes inside. Easy to put together after I read the reviews before purchasing. I would recommend this bike stand. Worth the time to put together and adjust.
Needed to get 2 bike off the garage floor and this fit the bill. Was concerned that the ladies bike may not have a spot to hold it up, but the adjustable arms made that possible. Mine is not attached to the wall, but the legs hold it steady. No fear of falling over. It put together easily too. I did on line research before I picked this brand, and am very happy with the purchase.
Fabulous Bike Stand
Ordered this bike stand after reviewing different styles and makes of bike storage. This stand has worked out perfectly for our two road bikes. It is well designed and made, leading to an extremely sturdy stand that doesn't shake or wobble with the load. As its free standing I know I can easily relocate it if I need to in the future. I'm also very pleased with the price of this compared to other similar stands, and delivery was quick. Assembly was not too difficult but does take some time (half hour to an hour).
